TTRPG Creator Spotlight: Tali Economy
Better known in the TTRPG space as Barnaby, they are working on the Beta Release of Wilde Beest. It is a TTRPG game inspired by Monster Hunters, Studio Ghibli Films, and Dauntless.
Wilde Beest focuses on progression through upgrading tools and growth in guilds. By diverting away from combat-focused collaborative storytelling, it dives headfirst into examining how we can frame worldviews within games.
"Everyone you meet is trustworthy, you do not have to be suspicious of anybody," Barnaby said about this games world.
Nothing within the world of Wilde Beest is inherently evil or bad. The titular beests are animals or creatures that exist in the world.
"If they are causing trouble it's not done out of any sort of malice, it's done because they need something," Barnaby said. "To kill something in this game is an intentional act."
Sound interesting? Download Wilde Beest Alpha for free and give it a review! Barnaby says they don’t care if it’s good or bad - “all information is good information.“
A full article in conversation with Barnaby will be up on the TTRPG Today Website later this week.

Commerce Corner: RoyalBurrowsDice
Kelsie Eells started making dice in the beginning of 2021 and now has over half a million followers on her TikTok where she shares her dice-making process.
Eells started playing Dungeons and Dragons around the end of 2020 and developed a dice obsession.
“I wanted dice, but had no money!” She said with a laugh.
As a self-described “serial crafter” she dove in by making her own mould. It went terribly.
Not swayed, she learned through TikTok videos how to make dice properly and started making her own videos only a month after she started making dice.
Five to six months into her new hobby, Eells opened up RoyalBurrowsDice after commenters kept asking where to get the dice she made in videos.
For Eells reflections on how this dice-making success has impacted her life, look out for the full article later this week on the TTRPG Today Website. Eells is open to invites for playing at new tables - streamed or otherwise.
As this is the first newsletter, I would like to thank you for being here. I wouldn’t have been able to do this without the pressure of there being nearly two dozen subscribers.
As this is the first newsletter there have been some hiccups - my first two full interviews you saw snippets of here did not meet the deadline. They will be up throughout this week over on the TTRPG Today website. They will be linked with the next newsletter in two weeks quite possibly with the next two articles I am working on as well.
I aim to have 2 interviews per newsletter. If you would like to read them before they reach here, please look out for updates on twitter @abzkelly.
See you in two weeks! - Abbey
